Valmet has introduced an innovative solution for integrated operations management to meet the needs of the growing liquefied natural gas (LNG) business. This new centralized online data collection tool called Valmet DNA Integrated Operations makes it possible to manage data, optimize sourcing and plan logistics efficiently. It brings significant benefits to LNG production plants and terminals as well as logistics and shipping companies.

The solution suits equally well for 5,000-50,000 m3 LNG terminals, liquefaction plants, 50-2,000 m3 LNG satellite terminals and LNG and LCNG (liquefied-compressed natural gas) filling stations - as well as for all energy transfer and logistics operations between them.
Valmet masters the control of the entire LNG supply chain, consisting of production plants, terminals, liquefaction and logistics, and offers a wider scope of solutions than traditional system providers. The supply chain is controlled with the Valmet DNA automation system, HIMA safety system, machine protection system and new operations management solution. All related services are aligned with our Shared Journey Forward service approach that includes Valmet's Industrial Internet solutions.
Better operations management saves time and costs
The Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution for centralized data collection and container logistics management covers reporting, measurements, production planning, process optimization and an interface to ERP systems. With automated and flexible tools, it is possible to optimize sourcing and order planning as well as plan logistics efficiently, saving time and costs. Communication between various parties in the supply chain is easy.
Additionally, the solution has an integrated map tool for online asset monitoring. It also provides all the data needed for electrical and automated invoicing, and overall quality and energy balance control.
Valmet's solution brings efficiency and safety to daily container management. Containers are monitored with advanced technology from Yepzon, a location device and service provider, which offers monitoring device batteries that stay charged for up to one year. The solution also includes innovative applications, such as a virtual container pressure measurement without expensive instrumentation.
Additionally, centralized data management enables safety improvement on a wider scale. For example, authorities and ports can have access to operational data when needed depending on how much the data owner wants to share this information. Valmet offers services to allocate and visualize data for the parties involved.
