solutions. This means some components are

Valmet offers lifecycle management to
enhance operation of the Valmet DNA
integrated automation system (IAS) in
aging platforms. Compatibility with our
older versions is standard. Damatic Classic,
Damatic XD, Damatic XDi, Damatic DNA,
Metso DNA, can all be updated to the latest
Valmet DNA technology.

New system features, functions and
components are available in a systematic
approach that avoids costly refits. Once the
system platform is upgraded, automation
system application software can be imported.
After this, only the operating system software
and user interface graphics will require
upgrading.

During upgrade projects, Valmet’s energysaving
solution can be implemented. This
application tracks energy flow on board and
monitors how efficiently energy is produced
and consumed.

An upgrade or refit process usually
starts with an onboard survey by a Valmet
specialist. The automation system status is
analyzed, and the extent of the project is
outlined.

Our marine experts always work in close
cooperation with our customers. Every
upgrade brings the shipowner reduced
operational risk, a more reliable system with
high availability and the latest technological
innovations like a user-friendly interface.
