Stora Enso’s Skoghall mill decided to renew their old smoothing press cleaning device and improve the roll cover durability of their BM 8.

Solution
The mill chose the high-pressure cleaning device, Valmet Smoothing Press Roll Cleaner, designed for smoothing press applications and extreme durable Valmet Press Roll Cover PK.
Results
Both smoothing press roll cleaner and Valmet Press Roll Cover PK met the customer’s expectations. Smoothing press roll cleaner resulted in clear maintenance cost savings, since the cleaning device can be maintained while the machine is running. The new Valmet Press Roll Cover PK has also shown lower and safer temperatures under operation.
