The Valmet DNA Boiler Performance Monitoring application calculates, displays and stores the main boiler parameters. These include boiler efficiency calculations based on boiler mass and heat balance and built in accordance with EN 12952 or ASME PTC 4 standards. The method used for calculations is either input-output or heat loss, depending on the fuel type burned.
In addition, the solution helps power plant maintenance and operating personnel detect potential problems in boiler operation and analyze those that have occurred. This prevents failures proactively – before they cause unpredicted shutdowns.
