Improved productivity and reduced emissions with OptiBin

Valmet’s newly developed chip bin – OptiBin – was started up at the Nordic Paper Bäckhammar pulp and paper mill, nearby Kristinehamn, Sweden.
This OptiBin chip bin installation is the first of its kind Valmet has delivered. Its task in pulp making is to serve as a buffer before the digester and to ensure that the malodorous gases are not let into the atmosphere when air is removed
from the chips. OptiBin is the result of years of development aimed at a cost-effective solution with as few moving parts as possible.
