Valmet to deliver 21 solids measurement units to Shanghai Bailonggang Wastewater treatment plant in China

Valmet will supply solids measurement units to Shanghai Bailonggang Wastewater treatment plant in China. The order consists of 21 Valmet Total Solids Measurements (Valmet TS) with high-pressure (PN100) option. The expected benefits include polymer and energy savings, and more efficient use of dewatering centrifuges. Optimization of dry-cake total solids provides better utilization of solids transportation capacity and incineration.
The order was included in Valmet's first quarter 2019 orders received. The measurements will be delivered in May 2019. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

Valmet TS measures and controls total solids for optimum process performance. The measurement, based on microwave technology, is a reliable and accurate meter for all wastewater sludge treatment applications (0 - 40% total solids), providing savings in energy, polymer dosing, and transportation.

Shanghai Bailonggang Wastewater treatment plant is one of the biggest wastewater treatment plants in Asia. The plant was established in 2008. It serves a population of about 3.56 million people with a capacity of 2 million cubic meters per day.
