Customer challenge
The mill faced challenges in their FL9 (Fiberline 9) which has high chemical and power consumption while low pulp temperature entering the O2 reactor.
Solution
Replacing the old mixer with Valmet SMF mixer 30-40 to improve mixing efficiency.
Valmet SMF mixer has excellent mixing process which improves chemical and power consumption without temperature reduction.
Results
FL9 has reduced chemical consumption by 1% and increased temperature about 10°C, leading to cost savings of around 300k EUR/year.
