Valmet to supply advanced process control and camera technology to MVV’s Ridham Dock Biomass Facility in Kent, the United Kingdom

Valmet will supply its advanced process control and camera technology to MVV Environment Ridham Ltd’s Ridham Dock Biomass Facility in Sittingbourne, Kent, the United Kingdom. The companies have also signed a performance agreement related to the plant. Valmet’s technology and services will boost the performance of the combustion process through improved stability and load shifts.

The order was included in Valmet's orders received of the fourth quarter 2023. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The delivery is scheduled for the second quarter 2024.

Technical information about Valmet’s delivery

Valmet’s total scope of delivery includes Advanced Process Control - Valmet DNA Combustion Manager and Valmet Furnace Visible Imaging System.

The advanced control solution together with the camera system, that monitors the location of the flame front on the grate, maximizes capacity and fuel throughput without the risk of overloading. The order was preceded by a Process Performance Study carrier out by Valmet on site.
