Metso Paper renews maintenance agreement with Nordic Paper

The Metso-owned Scandinavian Mill Service (SMS) has renewed the maintenance agreement made in 2002 with Nordic Paper’s mills in Säffle, Sweden and Greåker, Norway. With the new agreement, SMS not only takes full responsibility for maintenance, but is also committed to common targets to maximize the mills’ production.

Nordic Paper is the world's largest manufacturer of greaseproof paper. The two mills employ a total of 310 people.

SMS, which is jointly owned by Metso Paper and Metso Automation, operates and develops pulp and paper industry maintenance. The company employs close to 500 people at 8 locations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, the Czech Republic and Spain.
