New service enhances performance of environmental applications

A new service concept that guarantees top performance is now available to complement emission monitoring and reporting applications for all Metso power industry customers. This is vital for power plants operating nowadays with minimized resources and continuously tightening emission regulations. Metso has supplied over 50 emission monitoring and reporting applications that generate legal emission information. Performance services for environmental applications are an addition to Metso’s life-cycle service concept and the quality assurance procedures of a power plant’s emission monitoring system. Our customers can select proper services from our application services product portfolio and take them as part of service agreement or as an occasional service.
Start with an application audit
Auditing is a cornerstone for other application services and for the life-cycle planning of applications. It includes preliminary onsite work, an audit of applications and systems, user interviews and a written report with a proposed action plan. Our experts evaluate the influence of possible changes in measurement systems, environmental permits and process conditions of the applications. Improvement and development needs of the user interface, reports and displays are reviewed. Training needs of different user groups are evaluated. A life-cycle plan of applications is performed as part of the first audit and updated after every audit. This ensures a cost-efficient and systematic approach for upcoming maintenance and updating actions.
Application support services
Application support services include DNAdiary for communicating and managing the service request. A nominated contact person helps in problem situations and ensures that proper expertise is found from Metso’s organization.
