Registry No OC305964) about a change in the holding of the mutual funds managed
by Marathon Asset Management LLP of the total amount of shares and votes of
Metso Corporation.

On July 12, 2010, Marathon Asset Management LLP holding in shares of Metso
Corporation fell below the 5 percent threshold. The holding amounted to
7,437,730 shares, which corresponds to 4.947 percent of the total amount of
shares and votes in Metso Corporation, after being, on the basis of their
previous announcement, 5.12 percent on November 11, 2008.

Out of this holding, Marathon Asset Management LLP was in possession of
5,573,661 shares to which they had voting rights. This voting authority
represents 3.707 percent of the total voting rights in Metso.
