Valmet is pleased to invite you to our annual Recovery Boiler Users Group (RBUG) January 27-29, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. This event is dedicated to the cooperative sharing of technical knowledge and experience among the Owners and Operators of the fleet of Valmet Recovery Boiler Units in North America.

Who Should Attend?

Employees of Pulp mills with Valmet Recovery Boilers or other Valmet/Metso recovery equipment.

(Please note this event is by invitation only. We reserve the right to deny admission to those who do not qualify.)

Conference Highlights

The Users’ Group (RBUG) will leverage the overall technical expertise and experience of Valmet Fleet Operators. This conference will include identifying best practices, developing effective and innovative solutions, new product development, and improvement areas for future R&D projects as well as keeping everyone up to date on the latest industry developments and issues.

NOTE: This is a USER GROUP conference, which includes team building activities, therefore the goal is for “OWNERS and MILL PARTICIPANTS” to drive the agenda and participate and present applicable materials. Preliminary topics will build from the 2018 Program topics listed below:

  • Inspections and working toward longer operating duration between outages.
  • Smelt Spout Review / Update
  • 18 Month Outages, lessons learned
  • Condensate handling, quality, energy efficiency
  • Recausticizing
  • Handling of NPE in the liquor cycle
  • BLRBAC recommendation review
  • Improving performance with advanced process controls
