The target of the project was to increase capacity by upgrading the existing PM 1 recycled linerboard and medium machine to maximize dryness out of the press while optimizing machine efficiency and product quality.

At start-up, the paper went through the press without any problems. These comprehensive upgrades enable the 2,950 mm-wide (wire) PM 1 machine to produce recycled liner and containerboard at a much higher speed of 1000 m/min (max. operating speed) and a basis weight range of 115-250 g/m².
