CO₂ efficient solutions for board and paper makers
Discover Valmet's unique solutions that can help to reduce your CO₂ emissions and other environmental impacts in board and paper production.
The Valmet Conical Refiner Pro refiner
The Valmet Conical Refiner Pro is a refining concept, in which one refiner can replace two traditional refiners and deliver even 30% electrical energy savings. Suitable for all kinds of low consistency refining applications.
Material efficiency
Material efficiency covers the minimization of raw materials used in the production process, selection of the most economical raw materials possible, and the reduction and recycling of waste to minimize the amount of unutilized material.
Conversion to new grade
The world is changing fast; the consumption of newsprint and printing/writing papers is decreasing. The consumption of containerboards or cartonboards are rapidly increasing due to the e-commerce. An old paper machine can be updated with a grade conversion rebuild to produce more profitable products like containerboards, cartonboards or special papers.
Save-all application
Valmet offers the widest, most versatile array of save-all applications for high throughput and increased stock consistencies. Portfolio includes various disc filter, ultrafiltration and bow screen solutions.
Increase capacity
There are several ways to increase the production of a paper or board making line. The paper machine's efficiency can be improved for example by decreasing the number of breaks and shortening the break time. Drying capacity can be found to be a bottleneck. Drying capacity can be increased by solutions that maximize drying efficiency with minimum energy consumption. Machine speed can be limiting production, too.
Efficient raw material handling for consistent dry solids flow and optimal slushing results
Pulper feed conveyors
Inclined slat conveyor for transporting single bales or broke paper to a pulper
Cooling, slaking and causticizing
Optimum recausticizing is performed by products that provide an efficient and controlled reaction between green liquor and lime.
Tower equipment
Standardized concept for tower equipment to improve process performance, reduce power consumption, increase mechanical reliability and minimize the need for spare parts.
