VPK Group’s grade conversion in Alizay
VPK Group successfully converted their Alizay mill in France. Originally producing fine paper grades, the mill’s paper machine has been rebuilt to produce recycled lightweight containerboard grades. The grade conversion rebuild involved modifications and upgrades to the wet end and dryer section. Valmet also delivered a comprehensive automation package to the mill.

Large scope of supply to SCA Mexico
The Sahagun site in southern Mexico is flat and open and SCA could lay out the plant in the most optimal way and implement state of the art practices in all areas of the tissue mill project. A major share of the total project was awarded Valmet which included the complete process from engineering to the jumbo roll storage.

Sabah Electricity: Improved problem solving skills through Valmet DNA training
Sabah Electricity’s engineers, operators, and their manager from Malaysia participated Valmet DNA Maintenance and Engineering course in Tampere. Four days of hands-on training provided overall picture of the system and practical skills to be used when using the system. After the training, they are better prepared and can solve problems easier and faster.
Hayat at world class speed
With a skilled crew and through dedicated hard work Hayat Kimya A.S. in Turkey have succeeded in their efforts to break the world speed record for tissue machines. The record of 2,210 m/min was set during a 24-hour production run by their TM 2 tissue machine at the company’s mill in Yeniköy near the city of Izmit in Turkey.
