Upgrade existing methanol plants for production of high quality methanol.
Lime kiln
Valmet’s lime kiln system ensures reliable and energy efficient production of high quality lime for the recausticizing operation.
Chemical mixing
The Valmet Chemical Mixer is intended for feeding, diluting and mixing pulp with bleaching chemicals.
Steam Separator PS
Steam recycling is an important aspect of the energy-demanding refining process. It is a well-known fact that fiber carryover in the recycled steam can cause problems such as plugging, operating stops for cleaning and, in some cases, emitting fiber and steam into the surroundings.
Services for mechanical pulping
Valmet has a wide offering of services and solutions for optimizing processes and machinery in mechanical pulping, from chip washing up to screening and cleaning.
Lime mud handling
Valmet’s lime-mud dewatering system ensures good washing of the lime mud and high dry-solids content.
Mechanical pulping solutions
Valmet offers CTMP (chemi-thermomechanical) pulping, TMP (thermomechanical) pulping, NSSC (Neutral Sulfite Semi Chemical) pulping.
Leading technology for superior runnability and maximal web stability
Runnability systems stabilize the run of the web and secure tail threading in the dryer section. In practice, the equipment helps to hold the web in contact with the fabric by creating underpressure on the other side of the fabric. The underpressure is created by blowing, suction, or a combination of both.
OptiFlo headbox for low speeds
The redesigned OptiFlo headbox's turbulence generator provides top-notch quality for specialty paper grades, even when the paper machine is running at speeds as low as 120 m/min.
IntelliPress TriNip
IntelliPress TriNip is a compact concept for lighter grades with one side web smoothness. Optimal pressing minimizes drying energy. The Valmet IntelliPress TriNip consists of three presses combined into a compact design. The first nip is double felted and controls bulk. The second nip is single felted and controls dewatering and provides an easy transfer to the center roll surface. The third nip is equipped with the IntelliNip Shoe Module generating the contact pressure and an optimized residence time in the nip area. It provides high press dryness with low drying energy consumption and reduced CO2 emissions. This kind of pressing is suited to recycled containerboard production with lighter basis weights. The IntelliPress TriNip technology positively impacts the smoothness of the bottom side of the paper. The surface quality produced is sufficient for printing and creates an economical containerboard product.
