IntelliSizer

The IntelliSizer improves paper properties such as strength and printing qualities by adding chemical substances to the paper web. The IntelliSizer family consists of three Size Press types: Pond, Metering, and Hybrid. The IntelliSizer is equipped with a carbon fiber application head. The Metering Size Press reduces or eliminates pond turbulence, poor pickup control, low solids concentration, sheet edge problems, higher after drying demand, uneven reel profiles, and additional sheet breaks. Doctoring products

Doctoring affects machine runnability, paper and board quality, production costs, and production efficiency. Runnability can be improved by optimizing doctoring parameters and blade materials. Cleaner rolls result in better end-product quality. The blades can be selected to meet customers shutdown schedule which will lead to fewer blade changes resulting in lower blade costs. The reduction of unplanned shutdowns and costly downtime periods can be avoided by reliable and trouble-free doctoring.

Air dryer nozzle upgrades

OptiDry air dryers are designed for high drying capacity. Cost effective dilution control upgrade for hydraulic headboxes

Valmet's dilution control up grade, Valmet Dilution Retrofit*, is designed for hydraulic headboxes. It provides a cost-effective way to upgrade an existing slice lip-controlled headbox to a dilution-controlled one during an extremely short shutdown.

Sizing

Valmet’s sizer product family offers all application methods and all paper machine sizes available - spray, film and pond application and a new type of a sizer with hard nip rolls and curtain sizing. All sizers have a robust and modular construction combined with high functionality and quality with a low total cost of ownership. In surface sizing or size application, starch, or other types of size or pigmented size, is applied to the paper web surface to improve its strength, surface properties or water resistance. Sizing is often used to modify surface properties before coating.
