Winders
Utmost reliability and capacity that definitely meets paper machine's needs - that's the best way to describe Valmet's OptiWin winder family. From OptiWin winder family, you will find right winder for each winding need for all paper, board and pulp grades.
Cylinder drying
Discover Valmet's cylinder drying portfolio that offers perfect solutions for your paper machine dryer section regardless of your grade, machine speed, or basis weight.
Perini Proxima S6
Perini Proxima S6 is an automatic rewinder based on the consolidated Perini Sincro Winding System conceived to produce industrial and consumer rolls up to the speed of 600 m/min and 30 logs/min. Designed to guarantee excellent performance and quality for every type of AFH product, it reduces drastically product changeover times and enhances operator safety, thanks to the adjustments control by HMI without access inside the machine.
Wet end
Valmet offers several alternative wet end set ups. All alternatives consists of a headbox where excellent web profile is ensured, a forming section where the pulp is dewatered and a pulp web is formed, and a press section where a combination of presses increase the web dryness.
OptiSizer Hard sizing
OptiSizer Hard is uses higher nip loads to improve sheet strength properties by taking advantage of better starch penetration and decreasing fiber to fiber distance.
OptiCalender Soft nip calendering
Valmet's soft nip calenders are well suited for final calendering of different types of board, newsprint, and fine papers. Another area of application is pre-calendering of coated paper and board.
Dual Unwind for high-capacity winding
Dual Unwind is a fast way to make a parent roll change at winder. Double unwinding gives more production and higher winding capacity. Proven technology with a solid 10-year track record with over 50 references!
Coater blades
Coater blades play an important role in the paper or board making process. They hugely affect efficiency, both materials and time, and have a major impact on final product quality. In blade coating, paper quality variations and rapid wearing of coater blades inevitably result in production losses and higher blade costs. The Valmet Coater Blade family consists of four carbide blades which leave a uniform layer of coating color on paper or board surface, thus creating an excellent finish for desired coat weight. In addition to having a major impact on end-product quality, blades also improve production efficiency which in turn leads to more saleable production.
IntelliReel
The IntelliReel structure enables easy control over the reeling process. It permits reeling paper precisely, repeatably, efficiently and safely. A uniform parent roll is obtained and ready for converting operations by the end of reeling process. IntelliReel benefits include: controlled nip throughout winding process, minimized winding defects and sheet losses, easy process control, safe and minimized maintenance and it can be a tailor made solution. In the optimum parent roll structure building the purpose of nip relieving is to reduce the excessive weight of the spool and thus control the nip load between the spool and reel drum.
