OptiWin Pulp winder

The OptiWin Pulp is a two-drum winder specially developed for winding of both fluff and dissolving pulp. Winding of pulp differs significantly from winding of paper or board. Pulp winding requires different solutions, e.g. winding, set changes and tail threading.

Fourdrinier ensures high efficiency and output. The flexibility to make products across a broad range of grades is also often desired, and white lined chipboard, folding boxboard and coated SBS can all be produced on the same multi-Fourdrinier machine.

Curl control

OptiDry Curl, the new solution for curl control, is based on the impingement drying technology. Traditionally dryer groups with a double-felted configuration have been used for controlling the paper curl by adjusting different top/bottom dryer temperatures and affecting in this way drying on the two sides of the paper. Another traditionally used method is moisturizing (with water or steam), which also influences the curl of paper but at the same time increases paper moisture again.
