Flow control partner spotlight: Turuige
In continuous process industries like petrochemicals and industrial gases, minimizing unplanned downtime is a top priority. Achieving this requires more than just high-quality valve technology; it demands rapid access to genuine spare parts and on-site service capabilities when it matters most. In this partner spotlight, we interviewed Turuige (Xiamen) Mechanical and Electrical Technology Co., Ltd., a Valmet authorized distributor and authorized service partner (ASP) based in Fujian, China. By combining factory engineering support with local buffer stock and field service, Turuige demonstrates how local agility can ensure plant reliability.

Could you briefly introduce Turuige?
Turuige is a Valmet authorized distributor and authorized service partner (ASP) for flow control products in China. We operate a 1,000+ square meter service center in Xiamen, maintaining a local buffer stock of Valmet actuators and spare parts to support customers across petrochemical, industrial gas, and air separation industries.
Can you tell us briefly about your history of cooperation with Valmet?
We began our cooperation with Valmet in 2012, shortly after our company was founded. Over the past decade, our partnership has grown consistently, built on the solid foundation of Valmet's reliable flow control technology and a shared commitment to customer service.
What does holding both Distributor and ASP status mean in practice?
As a Distributor, we are deeply integrated into Valmet's supply chain, ensuring authentic products and reliable delivery. As an Authorized Service Partner (ASP), we possess factory-certified field service capabilities. This dual status allows us to offer an integrated solution from early-stage selection and supply to on-site maintenance. During emergency shutdowns, our ASP certification and local buffer stock enable us to mobilize service teams and parts immediately, significantly shortening lead times and securing plant operations.

Could you share a recent customer success story?
In 2025, we completed maintenance on over 130 valves during the plant shutdown at a petrochemical customer in Quanzhou. In today's market, customers face increasing budget pressures and are often tempted by third-party repair alternatives. However, for this project with a strict 30-day window, we successfully won the order by presenting a comprehensive, highly reliable maintenance plan. Leveraging Valmet's original parts and technical backing, combined with our local on-site execution, we proved to the customer that our solution offered the lowest total cost of ownership and highest reliability.
What was the biggest challenge during this shutdown, and how did you overcome it?
The main challenge was ensuring zero delays within a tight 30-day window. We planned spare parts at 100% coverage against the online equipment list and deployed a 16-person team to work in batches. Midway through we identified crank wear on some of the actuators. We immediately dual-sourced the solution: mobilizing our local stock while Valmet arranged urgent factory replenishment in parallel. The project was delivered on schedule, and the customers’ units started up successfully on the first attempt.
How would you describe the partnership between Turuige and Valmet?
The shutdown succeeded because we operated as one unified delivery chain. Valmet’s complete spare-part system, with traceable part numbers and fast technical response, combined with our local inventory, makes this model highly repeatable. We are now scaling this “Valmet brand + local buffer stock + on-site ASP service” approach to more customers in our authorized territory.
