Core expertise
The foundry in Jyväskylä specializes in producing heavy-weight and large hand-molded castings, with the capacity to produce castings weighing up to 100 tonnes. Our facilities include the world’s deepest casting pit at 17.5 meters and a maximum crane capacity of 140 tonnes. Examples of usual castings are shaft and shell-type castings with thick walls. Our expertise includes demanding heavy spheroidal graphite iron (GJS) castings with full machining, heat and surface treatment and assembly capabilities. Typical customer industries include paper and board, marine, food industry, and various other heavy industries.
Technical capabilities
We operate two production lines and a melting shop. Our floor molding line handles complex designs and heavy wall section castings, while our pit molding line is suited for long shafts, cylinders, and roll shells. Our melting shop is equipped with four electric melting furnaces, ensuring high-quality production. We hold several ISO certifications, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. We also employ rapid pattern-making technology to reduce lead times and costs.
