Sofidel selects Valmet Advantage ViscoNip press to improve paper properties and runnability

Sep 28, 2021

High efficiency, runnability and improved tissue quality were key factors for Sofidel when they decided rebuilding their TM 3 in Kisa Sweden. Valmet was granted the order thanks to the Advantage ViscoNip press well proven flexibility and capability to increase runnability, uniformity and paper properties. The new Advantage ViscoNip press will replace the existing shoe press in TM3.

After the rebuild the machine will have wider flexibility to control and fine tune the pressing parameters and thereby reach high dryness level and improve paper properties and runnability.

“With the Advantage ViscoNip press we are convinced we will increase runnability and flexibility of the machine. The new press will also improve the conventional paper quality. Moreover, this investment is also in line with Sofidel environmental policy  and  with our new investment in this plant with the syngas adoption as a further step for the net zero emission target” says Massimiliano Vannucchi, Sofidel Chief Operating Officer

“We are grateful that Sofidel have decided to join the group of customers who already have discovered the benefits from the Advantage ViscoNip press. With more than 80 ViscoNip presses sold we can honestly say that it is well proven to be a winning concept” says Johan Björn, Sales Director, Dry Crepe Tissue, Valmet
