BioCMPC major upgrade project

The upgraded and modernized CMPC Guaíba pulp mill line II was started up in November 2023. The projects’ aim was to increase the production capacity by 18% percent, increasing the whole mill’s annual production capacity to 2.3 million tonnes.

Circulose: Changing the global textile industry for the better

The new Circulose dissolving pulp is created by using cellulose from discarded textiles. It is then spun into new soft and breathable textile materials like viscose and lyocell. BCTMP line and BM1 start-up at Liansheng Pulp & Paper in Zhangzhou

Experience the successful startup of folding boxboard making line BM1 on May 1, 2023 at Liansheng Pulp & Paper (Zhangzhou) Co., Ltd. The start-up of BM1 marks an important milestone of their integrated forestry-pulp-paper project with an annual output of 3.9 million tons. It’s another solid monument built by both Valmet & Liansheng. The filler ply pulp of BM1 is from Valmet BCTMP line, which was successfully started up on the same day.

Transportation of Valmet Evaporation units to Metsä Fibre Kemi bioproduct mill site

In May-June 2022, ten large evaporation units were transported to the Metsä Fibre Kemi bioproduct mill site. The transportations were done with a barge from the Ajos deep-sea port to the Kemi city port and through downtown Kemi to the site.
