Valmet Recovery Boiler and Ash Leaching at ITC Bhadrachalam

ITC replaced three smaller recovery boilers with a single, high power recovery boiler to support increased pulp production. The new boiler, equipped with advanced ash leaching systems, has delivered strong reliability, over 18 months runnability between shutdowns, and improved operational stability—while also increasing the company’s renewable energy share from 43% to 53%.

Valmet NCG collection and handling solution at ITC Bhadrachalam

ITC implemented a comprehensive non-condensable gases (NCG) collection and incineration system to improve safety and environmental performance, making the mill area odor-free. The project was preceded with a comprehensive study by Valmet and is implemented to capture odorous gases from around 180 sources across the pulp and recovery plants. The Valmet NCG solution was successfully commissioned without disrupting ongoing operations.

Valmet and Fibre Excellence celebrated their good collaboration in France

Spring 2022 marked an important milestone for Fabrics and especially the local team in France. Over the years, Valmet has delivered more than 200 seamed press felts for Fibre Excellence’s pulp mill in Saint-Gaudens. The occasion was celebrated at the customer site with coffee and cake on the 26th of April.
