Pinch valves for shut-off and control applications

Flowrox PV, PVE and PVE/S heavy duty pinch valves are designed for shut off and control applications involving abrasive or corrosive slurries, powders or granular substances. In the open position, the valve is full bore with no flow restrictions. During closing, two pinch bars squeeze the valve sleeve shut on the center line. Bubble tight shut-off is provided even if solids have built up on the sleeve wall.

100% tight shut-off even if solids have built upon the sleeve wall. When compressed, any crystallized particles flake off the sleeve surface.

Full bore: Ensured free flow of the medium and less pumping energy is required.

Designed for demanding control applications

Flowrox control valves are designed for demanding control applications in which conventional valves encounter problems with wear due to increased turbulence. Controllability can be further improved, i.e. linearized and widened, with conical sleeves and smart positioners.

Each valve can be sized and optimized for the optimal control range, to limit wear and velocity and also to prevent cavitation from occurring in the control valve. Our control valve sizing program is available to ease your work. Flowrox control valve sizing is based on international IEC60534 standard (harmonized with ANSI/ISA S75).

Special for harshest control applications

For high-wear control valve applications, we can also provide Flowrox extra thick polyurethane (PU) sleeve. It is engineered for extreme sliding abrasion, low angular and low velocity impact conditions.

Flowrox pinch valves PV 500 E01 are successfully controlling the sludge flow in a Polish wastewater plant. Twenty electrically actuated valves were delivered in 2011 to Poland through Danish engineering company Krüger A/S and local Valmet Flow Control channel partner.
