This course introduces the attendee to chromatographic technology and theory as well as to the hardware associated with process gas chromatography.
Process Gas Chromatograhy Technology Course
MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1
This course covers operations, set up, and calibration of the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph, and an overview of the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph Portal (GCP) workstation software (GCP replaces both System Manager and EZChrom).
MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 2
This course provides the attendee with more hands-on training with the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph Portal (GCP) workstation software (GCP replaces both System Manager and EZChrom), further reviewing the software table structure and how it can be modified to add functionality to the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph, and how to create methods and sequences from scratch, as opposed to modifying an existing method or sequence.
Prerequisite: MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1 course completion
MAXUM II Analyzer Networks
This hands-on course covers the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph network systems. Attendees will learn skills they can use to design, install, and maintain Valmet MAXUM II ethernet networks, Modbus tables, and OPC servers.
Prerequisite: MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1 course completion
MAXUM II Analyzer Networks Course
MAXUM II MAXBasic Software Development
This course teaches how to use the Valmet MAXUM II workstation MAXBasic table editor to create and modify existing programs used to customize a Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph, as well as how to modify and create SQL statements and MAXBasic program commands which will manipulate the Valmet MAXUM II database to perform custom tasks in the analyzer. A fully functional copy of the MAXBasic Language Editor CD is included with the course at no additional charge.
Prerequisite: MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1 course completion
MAXBasic Software Development Course
MAXUM II Highly-Reactive Volatile Organic Carbons (HRVOC) Application
This course covers operation, maintenance, and calibration of the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph for typical HRVOC applications, including an overview of the Valmet MAXUM II hardware, workstation software and sampling system along with requirements and solutions for flare and cooling water measurement.
Prerequisite: MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1 course completion
MAXUM II Simulated Distillation
This course covers setup and calibration of the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph with a Simulated Distillation Application, including the specific hardware and software associated with this application.
Prerequisite: MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1 course completion
MAXUM II Total Sulfur Application - Vapor Samples
This interactive course utilizing an off-line database through GCP workstation software, covers operation, setup, validation and calibration of the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph Total Sulfur Application. Lab exercises will be assigned during and after each session and the Gas Chromatography instructor will be available outside of scheduled class times to answer participants’ questions.
