White liquor oxidation system

The purpose of white liquor oxidation is to improve the Na/S balance of the Kraft process by replacing make-up caustic with internally generated alkali. Valmet offers two well-proven and efficient alternatives, an air-based oxidation system for the production of partially oxidized white liquor for oxygen delignification and an oxygen-based system for the production of fully oxidized white liquor for bleaching and oxygen delignification. Oxidized white liquor can also be applied for many gas scrubbing applications.

The Valmet Chemical Mixer is intended for feeding, diluting and mixing pulp with bleaching chemicals.

Vacuum Washer CORU-DEK

Valmet Vacuum Washer CORU-DEK technology provides high consistency stock discharge for high performance washing and thickening. CORU-DEK technology includes key design features that drive performance and make service and maintenance easier than ever, such as end-drainage design, anti-rewet decking, v-seals and the option for Coru-Lok® removable decking.

Fine screening

Fine screening for removal of shives and other impurities. Our fine screens can fulfill all capacity requirements and handle pulp consistencies up to 5%.

White liquor handling

White liquor from the plant should be of a consistent quality and have the optimal strength suitable for the plant. Modern digesters need a high and consistent quality of white liquor to produce the optimal pulp quality and yield.

Pumps

Valmet’s unique and wide range of medium consistency pumps enables the most energy and cost-efficient pump choice for each application. The selection consists of two types of pumps: the CM type for feeding bleaching stages and reactors, and the CW type for feeding presses.

Lignin production

LignoBoost® makes it possible for Kraft pulp mills to produce high-quality lignin. Lignin is a renewable material with possible uses in a wide range of industries. Using lignin instead of fossil materials will lower emissions of CO2.
