Course Code: OPTIA1. This course, taught in English, introduces attendees to chromatographic technology and theory, as well as the hardware associated with process gas chromatography.
Objective
Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to: - Identify sample valves, column valves, columns, and detectors used in process gas chromatography. - Repair Model 11 and Model 50 valves. - Use chromatograms and oven plumbing diagrams to determine column valve timing. - Understand basic integration techniques and baseline correction in online chromatography. - Identify common sample system parts and subsystems in gas and liquid sample systems. - Understand the theory needed for the Valmet MAXUM II Operation 1 course, where attendees configure flows, valve timing, integration, and calibration.
