Description

This hands-on course, taught in English, covers the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph network systems. Attendees will learn skills they can use to design, install, and maintain Valmet MAXUM II ethernet networks, Modbus tables, and OPC servers.

Objective

Upon completion of this course, the attendee can: - Design a Valmet MAXUM II Ethernet network - Configure a Valmet MAXUM II to communicate on a Valmet MAXUM II Ethernet network - Configure a Valmet MAXUM II to communicate via Modbus or OPC with a DCS interface - Edit a Valmet MAXUM II Modbus Map - Install and configure a typical Valmet MAXUM II OPC server

Audience

Persons responsible for maintaining the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph. Engineers and technicians responsible for designing and maintaining the communication network connecting the Valmet MAXUM II, maintenance workstations, and the plant Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

Pre-requisites

Valmet MAXUM II Operation with GCP Level 1 course.
