Stonel™ Eclipse™

Compact and modular limit switch with solid state reliability

The Stonel Eclipse limit switch features dual solid state sensors with optional communication. Electronics are neatly integrated into a sealed module. The function module and trigger/indicator are in an ultra compact housing that attaches quickly and conveniently to standard VDI/VDE 3845 (NAMUR) actuator accessory mounting pads. It is suitable for general purpose, nonincendive and intrinsically safe applications and available with optional wireless capabilities.

Benefits

Compact design reduces space and in tight process areas

LEDs indicate electronic switch status to confirm electrical operation

Bold visual indication enables easy confirmation of valve position

No moving mating parts assure long life and trouble-free operation

Features

  • Compact, corrosion-resistant design allows minimal clearance and long life
  • Wireless capabilities option improves safety and reduces installation time
  • Flush mounts to VDI/VDE 3845 actuators (kits sold separately)
  • High-intensity red/green LEDs clearly show switch status
  • Touch pad sensor settings enable fast commissioning and remain locked even when power removed
  • Fully sealed for high-pressure washdowns, protecting against corrosion, debris, and water
  • Power outputs support external solenoids
  • Patented auto-detection of PNP/NPN input cards simplifies installation
  • Universal voltage locks position settings, retaining them even after power loss

Applications

Networking with wireless link

Stonel products with AS-Interface and DeviceNet offer dramatic installation cost savings and have optional wireless link, compatible with Android and iOS devices. Units with wireless link are also available for conventionally wired systems and IO-Link. Wireless capabilities offer unrivaled convenience and maintenance savings during the automated valve’s entire life cycle. You may remotely access your valves from up to 50 meters, depending on obstructions.
