Valmet celebrates 100 years of flow control excellence in Horgau, Germany
On June 15, 2023, Valmet celebrated the 100th anniversary at its Valve Technology Center in Horgau, Germany. Founded in 1923 as Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Plattling A.G (Mapag), the Horgau facility and its predecessors have played a key role in building the regions’ industrial DNA and in delivering engineered valve solutions for variety of process industries.

Beginning of September 2024 marks an important milestone for Ajin P&P's Hyunpoong mill in Korea. Their BM 2 was successfully started-up after rebuilding the two-ply forming section into an OptiFormer Multi by adding novel Sleeve roll technology with Valmet Sleeve Roll Belt to the combining position of the two plies.

Valmet will supply its advanced process control and camera technology to MVV Environment Ridham Ltd’s Ridham Dock Biomass Facility in Sittingbourne, Kent, the United Kingdom. The companies have also signed a performance agreement related to the plant. Valmet’s technology and services will boost the performance of the combustion process through improved stability and load shifts.
