Valmet will supply a Valmet IQ Steam Profiler and associated cross-direction moisture control to the Ahlstrom-Munksjö mill in Billingsfors, Sweden. The new profiling steambox, to be installed before the press section of paper machine PM6, will provide effective moisture profile management and improved drying performance for better product quality while reducing steam usage.

Valmet will supply automation and information systems for two luxury expedition vessels built by Helsinki Shipyard Oy in Finland. The vessels will be delivered to Russia’s largest river cruise company Vodohod Ltd., and they will operate both in the Arctic and Antarctic waters as well as in the tropical waters during the spring and autumn seasons.

Valmet received an order for Valmet Fiber Furnish Analyzer (Valmet MAP Q) from UPM in China. This is a repeat order of Valmet Fiber Furnish analyzer. The new analyzer will be installed for UPM’s PM3 in Changshu. Valmet MAP Q provides fast and precise online updates of key fiber and papermaking furnish properties.
Valmet to supply two quality control systems with six scanners to Oji Papéis Especiais in Brazil
Valmet has agreed to supply two Valmet IQ Quality Control Systems (QCS) for Oji Papéis Especiais (Oji Special Paper), in Piracicaba, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The systems will be delivered with six scanners: for coater machine and for paper machine. The order was included in Valmet's orders received of 2020.
Valmet to supply quality management solution to SMI Coated Products Pvt Ltd in India
Valmet will deliver Valmet IQ Moisturizer and Valmet IQ Converting Scanner with IQ Silicon measurement including IQ Moisture CD/MD Control to SMI Coated Products Pvt Ltd, which is located in Ambernath, Mumbai, India. The delivery is scheduled in the fourth quarter, 2021.
Exchanging experiences with pulp washing equipment
Valmet arranged a seminar on 1-2 June 2022 in Tällberg, Sweden, to allow Scandinavian chemical pulp mills to exchange their experience of pulp washing equipment. Around forty people from nine different mills participated in the event, the focus of which was roller presses and washing filters.
