Valmet has focused on washing and dewatering for more than 50 years and is today a leading supplier of advanced wash press technology.

The scope of our washing technology encompasses TwinRoll presses and Screw presses. Each of them designed to offer optimum capability for efficient, environmentally friendly, high-quality washing.

In mechanical pulping systems, washing plays an essential role for the peroxide bleaching process when targeting high-quality products at low operating cost. Our extensive experience and unique solutions of the peroxide bleaching process covers all types of mechanical pulps – TMP, CTMP and PGW – and represents an investment in proven process know-how and long-term support.

Valmet TwinRoll press

Valmet's TwinRoll presses are characterized by excellent washing efficiency, high availability and high output consistency. They also have very high specific capacity resulting in extremely compact installations, which make the TwinRoll presses especially suitable for upgrades.

Screw press

Valmet screw presses are used to thicken recycled fiber, kraft pulp, NSSC pulp, TMP and other mechanical pulps. The presses supply premium performance, easy operation and extremely low maintenance.

Pumps

Valmet’s unique and wide range of medium consistency pumps enables the most energy and cost-efficient pump choice for each application. The selection consists of two types of pumps: the CM type for feeding bleaching stages and reactors, and the CW type for feeding presses.

Valmet Disc Filter CDI

Valmet Disc Filter CDI recovers fiber from white water while thickening broke or recycled pulp from medium to large flows. Its open rotor design enables to handle low to very high feed consistency, making it the unique option for combined save-all broke thickening applications.

Valmet Disc Filter CDP recovers fiber from white water while thickening broke or recycled pulp from low flows. Its open rotor design enables to handle low to very high feed consistency and freeness.
