    Valmet selected to replace automation systems at Oji Group’s mills in Japan

    Valmet is selected to replace automation systems to Oji Group’s subsidiaries in Japan. The order includes Valmet IQ Quality Control System to Oji Paper Yonago mill and Valmet DNA Automation System to Oji Nepia Nagoya mill. The new systems will replace the old systems from other suppliers and enable the mills to improve the machine reliability and efficiency.

    Field Report - Understanding coater blade angle vs. loading tube pressure

    For a given blade tip bevel, when load tube pressure is increased, the blade angle will decrease, resulting in the blade running on its heel for a while. This, along with the additional bending pressure at the blade tip, will reduce coat weight. It is important to understand the interaction between blade angle, blade tip angle and loading tube pressure.

    Field Report - Size press roll wear, a case study

    A P&W paper machine suffered from excess wear on the back edge of the bottom size press roll. The problem was traced to the size press synchronization shaft. When the shaft was replaced, the roll wear problem went away.

    Varaka Kagıt entrusted its quality to Valmet Paper Lab

    The SEKA Balıkesir plant has started to run again. The name of the factory has been changed to Varaka Kagıt, and the optimization works have been going on since April 2019. The first Valmet Paper Lab in Turkey started to run along with the first machine with 1000 tons per day capacity commissioned in the first stage of the investment planned in two stages.
