Course Code: MAXGCP1.
This course, taught in English, covers operation, setup, and calibration of the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph, along with an overview of the Gas Chromatograph Portal (GCP) workstation software. GCP replaces both System Manager and EZChrom.
Objective
Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Perform basic maintenance on the Valmet MAXUM II.
- Balance carrier gas flows.
- Configure analyzer valve timing.
- Set up the Electronic Pressure Controller (EPC).
- Access the analyzer using GCP Network View.
- Adjust peak times using GCP.
- Calibrate the analyzer using GCP.
- Back up and restore the analyzer database
Audience
Persons responsible for maintaining the Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph and users who perform routine maintenance and calibration.
Pre-requisites
Basic knowledge of process analytics and gas chromatography, or Completion of the Valmet Process Gas Chromatography Technology Course.
