The Star Pisces is a cruise ship belonging to Star Cruises. Current home port is Hong Kong, from where she is sailing day and night cruises. The ship was refitted with the advanced Valmet DNA system in 2013, during the ship’s major renovation.
New marine horizons with LNG
Knutsen Group of Norway has started a new LNG marine project with Valmet. Knutsen is the world’s largest shuttle tanker operator and a major operator of LNG carriers. Their project, LNG/c Haugesund Knutsen, is a 5,000 m3 LNG bunker barge that will supply LNG to gas carriers and LNG-fueled vessels. The vessel is owned by Knutsen and will operate in the port basin of Barcelona rather than make long voyages.
CGG Alize, Seismic Vessel
CGG Alize is a purpose built vessel specially designed and equipped to record marine seismic and other geophysical data. State-of-the-art seismic data processing, and navigation and positioning systems support its operations. As a part of a major renovation of the vessel in 2013, the control room and process control stations were upgraded to the latest Valmet DNA software and hardware platform.
LNG-powered Megastar sailing with Valmet DNA
The new LNG-powered vessel, Megastar was built by the Meyer Turku shipyard. The vessel is owned by AS Tallink Group. Already thousands of passengers have been taken with the environmental friendly vessel from Helsinki to Tallinn and vice versa. Megastar offers a quiet and smooth travel experience.
