New milestone at Velvet CARE
Just before Christmas, after a hectic period getting everything ready in time, Velvet CARE successfully started up its third Advantage DCT tissue line at the Klucze mill in, Poland.
The new Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine equipped with Valmet automation, valves and the advanced Advantage ViscoNip press technology, produced good quality paper from the very beginning and meets the highest environmental and quality standards. It is currently the most advanced, proven operational technology, ensuring high productivity with relatively low consumption of utilities such as gas, water, and electricity.
In 2026, Valmet and Velvet CARE will mark ten years of collaboration. Since the first Valmet Tissue machine was sold to Klucze 2016, the site has expanded to four tissue machines, three of which are supplied by Valmet. Once the new machine is fully operational, it is expected to increase production capacity by 40%, resulting in a total annual output of more than 210,000 tonnes. Tissue that is supplied to the domestic market as toilet paper, paper towel and hygienic tissue paper products.
Another joint project carried out in close partnership with Valmet and ENKI allowed us to complete the investment on time and within budget, which is crucial from an investor’s perspective".
