OptiWin Pulp winder

The OptiWin Pulp is a two-drum winder specially developed for winding of both fluff and dissolving pulp. Winding of pulp differs significantly from winding of paper or board. Pulp winding requires different solutions, e.g. winding, set changes and tail threading.

Another great achievement for Palm Aalen PM5

On 3rd April 2024, Palm Aalen’s PM5 recorded another great achievement – its Valmet OptiWin Pro winder won the title of the world’s fastest winder. It was winding high-quality rolls at 3,220m/min with 1.450mm diameter in less than 4 minutes. The speed record was reached just two weeks after the mill’s annual shutdown.

Valmet earns another ISCC PLUS certification for its paper machine clothing production

Valmet has earned another International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS certification for its paper machine clothing production – this time for the unit in Ovar, Portugal. In the end of 2024, Valmet’s production unit in Tampere, Finland, earned the same certification.
