World records celebrated at Södra Cell Värö

On May 19, 2023, Valmet was on site in Värö to hand out a record plaque and offer cake to celebrate the double world record set on the pulp dryer in 2020 and 2022.

A new start with an OCC grade conversion at Burgo Verzuolo PM 9

In 2020, Burgo's Verzuolo converted their existing paper machine to OCC board grades. This meant high-quality grades with minimal virgin fibers and low operating costs. Everyone involved was very pleased with the results.

The invention was made in 1993 and stands the test of time. Over the years, Valmet has so far manufactured and sold calenders based on the invention worth an estimated EUR 1 billion.
