Valmet and SAMK strengthen cooperation to foster future expertise
Valmet and Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) have signed a new partnership agreement to enhance their cooperation in the technical expertise, research projects, and work-based learning.

Ensuring continuity
Valmet aims to ensure the continuity of its technological and service capabilities by deepening the cooperation with SAMK. Valmet’s operations in Satakunta area, in western Finland, are a significant part of its national and international network.
“We recognize the importance of having a strong base of multidisciplinary technical expertise in Satakunta. By offering internship and thesis opportunities, we aim to connect with the future professionals. This collaboration is expected to strengthen our presence and showcasing Valmet as a local yet global employer,” says Sanna Röyskö, Director, Pulp Drying and Baling at Valmet.
