Asso.subsea future-proofs subsea cable laying vessel performance with Valmet automation systems

Valmet has received an order to supply an Integrated Automation System (IAS) for a new vessel ordered by Asso.subsea, a prominent player in subsea services. Currently under construction at China Merchants Heavy Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., the vessel will be equipped with Valmet’s state-of-the-art automation technology designed to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance. This strategic investment underscores Asso.subsea’s commitment to future-proofing its fleet with intelligent systems that support complex offshore operations and evolving industry demands.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the third quarter 2025. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

This project follows Valmet’s successful automation system deployment for Jan De Nul’s cable laying vessel, further reinforcing Valmet’s position as a trusted automation partner in the demanding subsea cable laying segment.
