Greg Fralic Greg is an advanced process control engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in the Pulp and Paper industry. Throughout his career, he has specialized in developing and implementing innovative process optimization solutions, with a recent focus on mill-wide optimization and next-generation advanced process control. Greg has been with Valmet for over two decades and currently serves as Senior Manager, Optimization Solutions. |

Matias Hultgren Matias Hultgren is the Technical Manager for Mill-Wide Optimization at Valmet Automation, based in Tampere, Finland. He holds both M.Sc. and D.Sc. (Tech.) degrees in process engineering from the University of Oulu, specializing in control and systems engineering. With over a decade of experience in research and development across academia and industry, Matias has worked extensively on solutions for simulation, monitoring, control, and optimization in power plants, pulp and paper processes, and mineral and metallurgical operations. Since joining Valmet in 2022, he has led the design and implementation of advanced optimization solutions that enhance mill efficiency, stability, and sustainability. |
