- This program is designed to involve participants with demonstrations and problem-solving exercises involving actual roll performance and reliability issues. Learn roll manufacturers’ recommended maintenance techniques and procedures. Discuss specific roll group operational concepts and theories. Review roll management options on how to increase reliability and run times. Your specific roll performance or reliability questions will be addressed by mechanical maintenance and roll cover experts. Roll Maintenance School was established in 1990 and has benefited many maintenance and operational personnel. This unique program offers interactive classroom instruction provided by experienced paper machine roll professionals, as well as shop time to view rolls in maintenance and covering processes.
- Objective
- After successfully completing this course, participants should be able to: Plan your roll maintenance more efficiently, have a better understanding of roll configurations and designs, understand important roll handling and repair procedures for different roll types, better understand the essential elements for an effective roll maintenance record-keeping program, have full knowledge of predictive/preventive maintenance task identification and processes.
- Audience
- This class is designed for mill maintenance and operations personnel. Also, this is an ideal opportunity for anyone needing an increase their knowledge of rolls.

Cost

- Each additional person attending the class (same date / location) is $2,105 USD or $2,750 CAD.
