Valmet strengthens its portfolio with palletizing: innovative solutions for end-to-end packaging
Valmet expands its portfolio by adding palletizing to its range of innovative end-to-end packaging solutions. From production to primary and secondary packaging, all the way to pallets ready for logistics, Valmet now offers a complete solution that covers the entire process and simplifies plant integration. The goal is to ensure efficiency and continuous operations through advanced, flexible technologies designed to meet the needs of modern production lines.


Among the key innovations focused on maximum efficiency is the new end-to-end packaging system, which includes the high-speed Casmatic RS8 wrapper, an upgrade of the top-of-the-line Casmatic Carbon T enhanced with the Casmatic I-Seal welding system and an integrated solution combining the Casmatic PalMate PR7 palletizer with the Casmatic RingWrap S80 wrapper.
The launch of Casmatic PalMate PR7 together with Casmatic RingWrap S80 marks a major innovation for Valmet: for the first time, the company integrates a complete palletizing line, introducing a new family within its packaging systems portfolio. This solution is designed to optimize product handling, ensuring continuous and synchronized operations, high precision in layer preparation and full flexibility across different formats. With coordinated movement, pallets are configured to be stable and compact, with optimized loading patterns and secure wrapping supported by next-generation ring technology. Integration is simple and immediate, further enhanced by flexible automatic labeling which ensures full traceability.
In addition, Casmatic RS8, a high-speed wrapper for tissue rolls, sets new performance standards for primary packaging. It is compact, modular and fully automatic and can produce a variety of formats in a single layer, delivering top performance with speeds of up to 250 packs per minute. Featuring a next-generation overhead system with curvilinear motors and independent shuttles it ensures continuous product flow and fast, accurate format changes. An optional device enables Fold & Tuck packaging of toilet rolls without sealing or glue, supporting greater sustainability. Its optimized design reduces floor space by 30%, allows installation and start-up in just two days and ensures full accessibility for maintenance and daily operations. The result is a high-quality finished product, with improved efficiency and versatility to adapt to different production formats.
Valmet gives the packaging segment a new heartbeat with Casmatic Carbon T, now driven by the innovative Casmatic I-Seal, induction sealing system that replaces conventional methods. The new metal belts heat up and cool down in less than a minute, cutting energy consumption and eliminating waste during standby, while also simplifying operations during stops. This evolution of Valmet wrappers is further enhanced by the new impulse band bottom sealer, an innovative technology that delivers instant ramp-up, energy efficiency and top performance throughout the packaging process.
The result is packaging that is more compact, precise and sustainable, with retrofit options which also allow existing plants to benefit from these enhancements.
