Improved lifetime and slitting quality of top slitter blade

One of biggest tissue mill in Japan wanted to optimize the performance of slitting section by improving slitting quality and increasing top slitter blade lifetime.

Solution	Valmet slitter blade to reduce paper dust by superior slitting quality which is applied “superfinishing”. And extend lifetime as raw material is powdered metal.
Results	Increase top slitter blade lifetime more than tenfold. Reduce the frequency of replacement , easier for production maintenance The sharpness is excellent even on soft paper grades that were difficult to slit.
