Hands-on learning at Valmet’s TwinRoll Press Maintenance School in Montreal

Valmet recently hosted a TwinRoll Press (TRP) Maintenance School in Montreal, Quebec, bringing together mill maintenance professionals from leading companies including Georgia-Pacific, Smurfit Westrock, AV Group NB Inc., and International Paper.

The three-day program offered in-depth training on TRP generations, component configurations, and upgrade options to improve runnability and reliability. Participants also explored rebuild processes, troubleshooting techniques, and predictive maintenance strategies. Sessions featured insights into SKF bearings and Hägglunds hydraulic motors, with both classroom learning and hands-on demonstrations.
