Flowrox control and shut-off pinch valves succeed in ore and water treatment plants in a Spanish mine

After seven years of implementation of Flowrox™ pinch valves in a concentration plant, customer remains satisfied with the cost savings combined with reliable operation and easy valve maintenance. All 330 pinch valves were installed in an extension of their ore and water treatment plant. The project basically consisted of duplicating the size of an existing plant.

Substantial savings through efficient waste heat utilization at SCA Packaging Obbola

In a modern paper or board machine, the effect of heat reclaimed from dryer section exhaust air can translate to over 40 MW of energy saved during periods of peak heating. But the benefits of effective heat recovery are by no means restricted only to such cases, since, in practice, notable savings can be reached at all times. A recent heat recovery system rebuild at SCA Packaging’s Obbola PM 1 kraftliner machine in Sweden yielded energy savings of over 11 MW.

Headbox reconditioning yields 30% better dry weight profiles

Small things really do make a big difference. For example, the right headbox adjustments and careful cleaning alone can significantly improve the overall performance of a production line. ITC Bhadrachalam in India proved this point with the headbox of their BM 1 which was thoroughly tested and reconditioned in cooperation with a team of Valmet’s service experts.
