Granting scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate students in China

“Valmet's corporate social responsibility in China focuses on supporting youth health and developing industry talent, particularly in the field of industry talent development. Since 2009, Valmet has awarded scholarships to undergraduate students at three major universities in the pulp and paper industry. Starting in 2023, new scholarships for postgraduate students at several leading industrial universities have been established.

Embracing development opportunities for children through sports and artistic activities

As part of Valmet’s commitment to social responsibility, year after year we renew our support for institutions that make a difference in the communities we operate in. Based on employee voting, the chosen institution for Chile in 2024 was Hogar de los sueños, a non-profit organization that seeks to expand development opportunities for children from vulnerable socioeconomic conditions through sports and artistic activities.
