Where and how can I find open positions at Valmet?

We list all our open positions in our job portal under Open Jobs. You can search for jobs using different search criteria.

How long do you advertise roles for?

We typically advertise positions for between two and four weeks, but it can be shorter or longer depending on the role. All positions have an application closing date and we recommend that you complete your application as early in the application period as possible.

How can I apply for a position at Valmet?

Once you have found a job you want to apply to, click the “Apply” button. If you have a LinkedIn -account, you can select to use your information from LinkedIn in your application.


Why do I have to create an account?

You will be asked to create an account when you apply for a job at Valmet for the first time. By creating an account, you will be able to log into candidate home and follow your application. Also, if you decide to apply for more than one job, you won’t need to fill in your information again. Account enables you to create also job alerts.


How can I stay updated on the latest job opportunities?

You can receive daily or weekly job alerts about job opportunities at Valmet into your email. Here is how you can activate job alerts: Log into your account and go to "Job alerts" on the top of the page. Click "Create job alert", select your preferred criteria and click submit. You will receive job alerts either daily or weekly based on your preferences into your email. You can edit and delete the job alerts in your account.


What happens if I have forgotten my password?

Click “Forgotten password” to send a new password to the e-mail address you specified when creating your account.


What should I include into my application?

Before you submit your application, make sure you have provided us with all the details as fully as possible. The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to match you to the role when we are looking for the right person for the job. You can attach your CV and Cover Letter to your application (documents in .doc-, .docx-, .txt-, .html- and .pdf- format are supported) and always remember to answer our questions as comprehensively as possible. Please note that once you have submitted your application, you are only able to modify your contact details in candidate home but not your application.


Is there a possibility to send an open application?

At times it may also happen that the perfect position for you is not listed under Open Jobs right now. In that case you may always submit an open application. In order to ensure your data privacy, we only handle applications through our recruitment system. Read our recruitment privacy notice.


When can I expect to hear from Valmet?

Each position has a closing date, after which we will review applications and contact those who we feel are most suitable to progress to the next stage. Unfortunately, the high number of applications we receive means that it’s not always possible for us to reply personally to all candidates. Depending on your email provider, sometimes messages may be directed to your “Trash” -folder.


What steps are there in the recruitment process?

The recruitment process depends on the role you have applied for. We use a variety of selection methods, eg video screening, personality questionnaires, ability tests and interviews. If you are chosen to progress for a particular role, you’ll receive information on what we expect from you during each stage of the process.


What information is needed from me during the recruitment process?

To protect our candidates' privacy - Valmet/our recruiters will not request any personal information such as banking information or social security number during the early stages of the recruitment process. If you receive suspicious requests regarding your personal data, you may contact us.
