Fujian Hengan Group in China to produce premium tissue with hybrid technology from Valmet

The Chinese tissue market is developing, and a growing number of consumers are looking for tissue products with premium or even ultra-premium quality. To meet the increasing demand from the market, Fujian Hengan Group has decided to invest in two Advantage QRT tissue lines with Valmet Automation solutions.
The two new lines will be installed at the mills, in Hunan province and Hubei province and will mainly produce high quality facial and kitchen towel. It will add around 70,000 tons of tissue to their current production of facial, toilet and towel tissues. Both machines are planned for start-up during the first half of 2023.
Hengan has previously installed eight Valmet Advantage DCT 200HS tissue production lines to its mills in China.

Technical information
These new tissues machines TM33 and TM34 will have a width of 3.65 m and a design speed of 1,800 m/min.
The raw material to be used in the tissue production will be virgin baled pulp. The new production lines are optimized to save energy and to produce premium quality tissue products.
Valmet’s scope of delivery includes two Valmet Advantage QRT135 tissue machines. The machines will be equipped with an OptiFlo headbox and a 18 feet cast alloy Yankee cylinder. It will also be featured with a Symbelt press, a gas fired Advantage AirCap hood, sheet transfer system and an Advantage SoftReel L reel. Furthermore, a steam and condensate system as well as air knives and heat exchanger are included in the delivery.
Furthermore, the delivery will include a Valmet DNA Automation System, Steambox. Complete engineering, installation supervision, training, start-up and commissioning as well as a spare parts package are also included in the delivery.
